CCEG Terms of Use
Such rules as exist, are few and of such a
nature that, ultimately, the honor and cooperative attitude of each
CCEG member is what makes things work so nicely in the group's
electronic activities.
This group exists to enhance Christian communication by and between
Church of Christ members and their families around the world. The
group is not monitored, moderated nor otherwise controlled outside
our own mutual cooperation. All e-mail addresses and other personal
information are considered confidential, belonging only to those in
the group.
You may send messages to anyone on the group list, or several at one
time. Please do not send potentially offensive messages: political,
controversial, sales pitches, etc. We also avoid using the CCEG list
to solicit money (donations), good cause or not. There are more
appropriate channels for that through the general bishopric.
I will send a message to the group announcing your e-mail address
and any personal information you may have volunteered. You may
access the CCEG list via the CCEG Web site. If you do not have
Internet access and wish a copy of the listing, be sure to let me
know.
SEND ALL E-MAIL ADDRESS CHANGES, status changes and any other
group business to (the CCEG Manager). The group will be notified as
needed.
ADDRESSING YOUR E-MAIL: If possible, please avoid listing a
lot of e-mail recipients in the "to" or "cc" lines of your mail
headers. Up to a dozen or so will not hurt, but if you have a large
number to address, we ask if you have the capability to address in the
"blind" (usually shown as "bcc" for "blind courtesy copy"), please
do so with all but one on your list of recipients. If you are unsure
about this, ask me and I'll help you determine if you have this
capability in your e-mail program and how to use it.
We don't want the CCEG to hinder your e-mail activities, but
by this suggestion we hope to keep the group's personal information
as confidential as possible.
PRAYER REQUESTS: Please send all prayer requests, updates and
any related matters to Joyce Harris. She will promptly notify the
whole group.
TESTIMONIES ON-LINE (TOL), POEMS, SPIRITUAL STORIES, ETC.:
Rhea Housknecht is TOL Central. She receives all the testimonies
from other members, as well as spiritual poems & stories. Rhea will
forward them on to the entire group. These can be any testimony of
God's miraculous love and blessings in your life, a family member or
some of the great testimonies of your family's past.
NOTICES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS of any special church services or
rallies, church-sponsored activities or local social and
recreational events you wish announced to the group should be sent
to the CCEG Manager. Others will be interested to know, whether they
are able to attend or not.
CHECK YOUR MAIL FREQUENTLY: Please take a moment as often as
you can (daily, if possible) to make a quick check of your e-mail.
You may or may not get mail often depending on how frequently you
send messages out yourself, but when someone does send you
something, they might be disappointed to find you haven't read your
mail for several days -- and it may be something important and/or
time sensitive.
HOW TO GET SOME E-MAIL: To make it short, don't be shy
... you can't expect much correspondence if you don't correspond.
